JB Poindexter Units Debut New Work Truck, Cargo Systems, and Truck Body Innovations at 2026 Work Truck Week

Morgan Olson, Morgan Truck Body, Reading Truck, Masterack, and LEER highlight new fleet-focused products as the company also notes its 2025 acquisition of ambulance manufacturer Demers Braun Crestline Medix.

J.B. Poindexter & Co. (JBPCO) showcased a range of new vehicle bodies, upfit systems, and cargo solutions from across its operating units at NTEA Work Truck Week 2026, highlighting new tools designed to help fleets deploy and maintain work-ready vehicles more efficiently.

The company said the display reflects its effort to integrate product development, upfitting, and service support across its brands to streamline vehicle specification and maintenance for commercial fleets.

JBPCO hosted a booth press conference titled “Proven Past. Future Driven.” at Booth #601 featuring Founder and CEO John Poindexter, Morgan Olson COO Joe Thompson, and Demers Braun Crestline Medix (DBCM) President Mike Postma.

“JB Poindexter & Co. has grown into one of the leading producers of commercial truck bodies, accessories, and specialty vehicles in North America by staying focused on disciplined investment and consistent execution,” Poindexter said in a statement.

Morgan Olson Introduces Kestrel Work Truck

Morgan Olson, known for walk-in step vans and purpose-built work truck bodies, introduced the Kestrel Work Truck, a Class 2 four-wheel-drive vehicle built on the Jeep Gladiator platform.

Morgan Olson’s new Kestrel Work Truck, built on the Jeep Gladiator platform, was displayed at Work Truck Week 2026 as a compact Class 2 solution designed for off-road job sites and flexible fleet upfitting.

The vehicle is designed for job sites requiring maneuverability and off-road capability and supports a variety of upfit accessories, including ladder racks, cargo slides, and 360-degree camera systems.

Morgan Olson also displayed its ROUTE STAR step van, a configurable vehicle designed for municipal and utility fleets operating in demanding work environments.

Additionally, the company highlighted its Morgan Olson Parts webstore, which now supports additional step van body manufacturers and provides fleets with real-time inventory visibility and online ordering for replacement parts.

Morgan Olson highlighted the Kestrel’s modular storage and ladder rack system, giving fleets a compact but highly organized service vehicle for field technicians and utility crews.

rivetless sidewall construction designed to improve structural strength while providing a smooth exterior surface suited for vehicle graphics.

The company also unveiled a new entry-level Parcel Van designed for cost-effective urban delivery applications.

Morgan also highlighted its online parts platform, MorganParts.com, which provides access to replacement components for its truck body lineup.

Reading Truck Adds New Service Body Options

Reading Truck showcased two new work truck bodies, including a Combo Body that combines the enclosed storage of a service body with the open utility of a platform body.

The company is also expanding its right-hand-drive (RHD) lineup with new configurations designed for Class 4–7 applications. The two new products, RHD-46 and RHD-67, combine configuration with heavy-duty construction. 

In addition, Reading Truck displayed two crane bodies—the RM-25 and RM-45—designed for lifting applications in demanding jobsite environments.

Reading Truck supports customers through 22 company-owned service centers and a partner distribution network across the U.S. and Canada.

Masterack Introduces Updated Ladder Rack and Cargo Systems

Cargo management provider Masterack showcased several new products, including the UPLYFT 2.0 ladder rack, which uses a capstan-driven dropdown system that reduces peak operating effort by more than 80% compared with the previous generation.

The company also introduced a new solution designed for the Ford Maverick platform. The Cargo Guard Duo combines a split-lid tonneau cover with integrated side-access toolboxes.

Another new product, CargoPOD Pro, is a slide-out, freestanding work module designed to integrate into van cargo areas or pickup beds.

LEER Highlights Modular Truck Cap System

LEER featured its NexCap Pro modular truck cap, an all-metal commercial cap built from precision-formed aluminum panels and designed to support rooftop equipment while providing increased durability.

The company also displayed its Heavy-Duty Aluminum Truck Cap and its Trade Package, a fleet-focused upfit system that converts pickup trucks into mobile workstations.

The Trade Package on display includes an aluminum cap, BedSlide cargo tray, and HVAC shelving developed in partnership with Masterack.

JBPCO Notes Ambulance Manufacturer Acquisition

In addition to its commercial vehicle updates, JBPCO highlighted its June 2025 acquisition of Demers Braun Crestline Medix (DBCM), one of North America’s largest ambulance manufacturers.

The business includes four ambulance brands — Demers, Braun, Crestline, and Medix — serving emergency medical services markets across North America and internationally.

At Work Truck Week, the ambulance group displayed two models: the Braun Express Plus Type I ambulance and the Medix MSV-II Type III ambulance, both featuring safety-focused interior designs and updated body construction.

JBPCO said the acquisition expands its portfolio of specialty vehicles while reinforcing its position across multiple commercial vehicle segments.
