Automotive Fleet is rolling into Akron as Team Brown. Support the team and help underserved students access scholarships for automotive technology and skilled trades programs.

What is the Corporate Derby Challenge?
The Corporate Derby Challenge is a high-energy team-building competition where organizations assemble, decorate, and race their own adult Soap Box Derby car using a pre-manufactured kit provided by the Soap Box Derby.
Teams build the chassis, then take their car design as far as their imagination will take it, as long as it follows Corporate Derby Challenge guidelines. Race weekend brings the big moment, with trophies awarded for the fastest car and the best-decorated car.
When is the Race Held?
On August 20, 2026, teams will unveil their Corporate Derby Challenge car. Attendees will enjoy appetizers, spirits, entertainment, and Soap Box Derby Hall of Fame and Museum cars dating back to the 1930s. The race kicks off on August 21, 2026!
Attire tip: Casual attire and flat shoes are recommended.

Corporate Derby Challenge entry includes:

The Hourglass Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that empowers underserved students through scholarship opportunities supporting automotive technology and other blue-collar skilled trades programs.
The International Soap Box Derby is the official sanctioning body of Soap Box Derby racing and host of the annual Soap Box Derby World Championships. Soap Box Derby is a youth gravity racing program that has been inspiring new generations of champions since 1934.
