Donna Elaine Bibbo, respected leader in the fleet community, passed away Aug. 2, 2026, at her home in Middletown, Delaware. She was 71.

Bibbo spent more than three decades in fleet, travel, procurement, and sourcing, building a career distinguished by a willingness to share her knowledge with fellow fleet professionals.

Her fleet career began in 1990 as purchasing, fleet, and travel manager for Pharmacia Biotech (now Cytiva). She also served as an indirect sourcing leader for GE Healthcare before joining Novo Nordisk in 2006.

At Novo Nordisk, Bibbo served as manager of fleet and travel, overseeing a fleet of approximately 4,400 vehicles in the United States and Canada as well as the company's corporate travel program. 

Among her accomplishments, Bibbo reduced maintenance costs by 2%, depreciation costs by 11%, and preventable accidents per million miles by 3%. She also reduced CO2 emissions by 3% per mile, an achievement that earned her Automotive Fleet's Environmental Leadership Award in 2010.

Bibbo was named one of Automotive Fleet's Most Influential Women in Fleet and was a finalist for the Professional Fleet Manager of the Year award.

She later joined Ametek, where she managed travel and indirect procurement before retiring in 2019, concluding a career of more than 30 years.

Bibbo didn’t just create impact in the fleets that she managed; she also served on multiple boards and as part of associations, including both NAFA and AFLA. She also contributed to numerous industry advisory councils throughout her career.

Following news of her passing, fleet professionals remembered Bibbo as a trailblazer, mentor, colleague, and friend who was always willing to offer advice and share what she had learned.

“Donna was very much a trailblazer in the fleet industry,” Terri Stiffler wrote in announcing her passing on LinkedIn. “Our industry lost a great person today.”

Others recalled the lasting influence Bibbo had on their careers. Nancy Murray remembered Bibbo as someone who befriended her early in her travel and fleet career and taught her a great deal. Oleg Cytowicz described Bibbo as a mentor who was always willing to share her insights and help others.

That generosity with her experience became an important part of Bibbo's professional legacy. Her contributions reached beyond the organizations where she worked to the many fleet professionals she advised, mentored, and befriended throughout her career.

Outside the industry, Bibbo enjoyed sports, baking, genealogy, reading, and traveling the world with her husband, Ken. She was an avid fan of the New York Mets and Jets, later adding the Philadelphia Eagles to the teams she followed, and also enjoyed NASCAR.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Bibbo; sons Nicholas and Kenneth C. “KC” Bibbo; stepson Matthew; daughters-in-law Ginamarie and Jess; and granddaughter Liana Rose.

A celebration of life is planned for the Christmas holiday season. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the University of Pennsylvania Cardiovascular Center.

Bibbo leaves behind a legacy not only in the fleet programs she helped shape, but in the lives of those her kindness touched.
