Toyota Adds AWD to Camry and Avalon Sedans
AWD will be available on the LE, XLE, SE, and XSE trims of the 2020 Camry and the XLE and Limited trims of the 2021 Avalon.

Toyota will be releasing all-wheel drive variants of its 2020 Camry and 2021 Avalon sedans, the company announced ahead of the LA Auto Show.
AWD will be available on the LE, XLE, SE, and XSE trims of the Camry and the XLE and Limited Avalon trims.
The AWD variants will be exclusive to North America and will be developed in the U.S. and assembled at Toyota's Kentucky assembly plant.
This marks the first time the Toyota Avalon will have the AWD option, and the first time since 1991 that the Toyota Camry will have the option.
Toyota noted that the AWD Camry and Avalon will provide a similar ride and handling characteristics compared to the FWD models but will gain added traction capability.
Toyota Safety Sense-P — which includes pre-collision system and pedestrian detection; dynamic radar cruise control, lane departure alert with steering assist, and automatic high beams — will come standard on the two sedans.
