Ram has announced pricing for the 2027 ProMaster City, which will return to the automaker's commercial vehicle lineup with a starting price of $39,995, including a $2,595 destination charge.

The midsize commercial van will be offered in Tradesman and SLT trim levels, with both cargo van and passenger wagon configurations. Production is scheduled to begin in 2026, with vehicles expected to arrive at U.S. dealerships in the first quarter of 2027.

2027 Ram ProMaster City Pricing

Pricing for the lineup, excluding the $2,595 destination charge, is:

  • Tradesman Cargo: $37,400
  • Tradesman Passenger Wagon: $40,100
  • SLT Cargo: $38,900
  • SLT Passenger Wagon: $41,600

The ProMaster City is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing 166 hp and 221 lb.-ft. of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels.

For commercial fleets, the van provides more than 167 cubic feet of cargo capacity and a 111-inch load floor. Payload capacity exceeds 2,000 pounds, while the maximum towing capacity is 2,000 pounds when equipped with the available Class 3 trailer hitch.

The cargo area measures 54 inches high and provides more than 48 inches of space between the rear wheel wells, allowing it to accommodate common 4-by-8-foot construction materials. The van's overall height is less than 80 inches, allowing access to many parking garages and other height-restricted facilities.

Cargo and Passenger Configurations

The ProMaster City will offer six window-and-panel combinations, along with rear swing doors or an available rear liftgate. Ram said the various combinations result in 11 available configurations.

Cargo models can be configured with different combinations of security panels, fixed glass, grated windows, and rear windows.

Passenger Wagon models come standard with seating for five, while an available third row increases capacity to eight passengers.

Ram has also positioned most of the vehicle's primary systems forward of the cargo area to leave more space available for commercial upfits.

Technology and Safety Features

Standard interior equipment includes a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital rearview mirror, heated front seats, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column.

Standard driver-assistance and safety equipment includes forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, Driver Attention Alert, automatic high beams, a rear backup camera, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, and a programmable speed limiter.

Passenger Wagon models also receive second- and third-row side-curtain airbags.

Moving to the SLT trim adds front parking sensors, a wireless phone charger, a heated steering wheel, fog lamps, body-color exterior components, and 17-inch aluminum wheels.

The 2027 ProMaster City will join the full-size ProMaster, Ram 1500, Ram 2500 and 3500 heavy-duty pickups, and Ram chassis cab models in the Ram Professional commercial vehicle lineup.
