Stellantis Recalls Nearly 849,000 Vehicles for Rearview Camera Issue
Nearly 849,000 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles are affected by a software issue that can prevent the rearview camera image from appearing. Stellantis plans to address the issue through an over-the-air software update.

The recall affects certain 2026 and 2027 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles, including several pickups, vans, SUVs, and minivans.
Stellantis North America
FCA US is recalling an estimated 848,511 vehicles in the U.S. due to a radio software issue that may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying on the vehicle's media screen.
The recall covers certain 2026 and 2027 model-year vehicles across the Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram brands.
Affected vehicles include:
- 2026-2027 Chrysler Pacifica, Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid, and Voyager minivans
- 2026-2027 Dodge Charger
- 2026 Jeep Cherokee, Compass, Gladiator, Grand Cherokee, Grand Cherokee L, Grand Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer L, and Wrangler
- Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups
- Ram ProMaster and ProMaster EV vans
Stellantis will provide affected customers with an over-the-air radio software update. A notification will appear on the vehicle's media screen when the update becomes available.
Until the update is completed, Stellantis advises drivers whose rearview camera image does not appear to use their rearview and side mirrors and remain aware of their surroundings while backing up.
The automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue. Recall notices are expected to be mailed to affected vehicle owners beginning in September.
The recall also affects approximately 82,869 vehicles in Canada, 7,969 in Mexico, and 15,736 in markets outside North America.
