Cadillac Suspends Book Subscription Service
Cadillac will suspend its vehicle subscription service, Book by Cadillac, on Dec. 1 and plans to relaunch it early next year, the brand's top spokesman has confirmed.

Cadillac will suspend its vehicle subscription service, Book by Cadillac, on Dec. 1 and plans to relaunch it early next year, the brand's top spokesman has confirmed.
Andrew Lipman, a Cadillac spokesman, told Automotive News that Cadillac wasn't scrapping the program, countering a Wall Street Journal article reporting the contrary.
"We are stopping it for a short period of time to then relaunch it based off the learning we have made in early Q1," Lipman told the outlet. "We are hitting the pause button and we will be back."
Cadillac launched the program in January 2017 for a monthly fee of $1,500. Users had access to the Platinum trim models of the XT5, CT6, Escalade, and V Series. The program had been offered in Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York City. In November 2017, Cadillac raised the monthly fee to $1,800.
Following Cadillac's launch of the program, several other luxury automakers announced their own subscription services, including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, and BMW.
