Isuzu is recalling 1,926 N-Series low cab forward trucks from four model years, including the Chevrolet trucks based on them, for lug nuts that may not have been properly tightened, according to federal safety records.

Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. is recalling the 2017 to 2020 NPR-HD; 2019 to 2020 NPR-XD; NQR; NRR; Chevrolet 4500HD; Chevrolet 4500XD; Chevrolet 5500HD; and Chevrolet 5500XD cabovers.

The lug nuts on the rear outer wheels may not have been properly tightened when installed on to the rear axles.

Isuzu is notifying owners, and dealers will inspect the lug nuts and tighten or replace them for no cost. The recall is expected to begin on Dec. 20. Owners may contact Isuzu customer service at 866-441-9638 or Chevrolet customer service at 800-222-1020. Isuzu's number for the recall is V1906.
