ATS Euromaster, a subsidiary of Michelin in Europe, is overhauling its fleet and testing a variety of assets to accommodate its operations, including several from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.

The European-based tire replacement operation signed a deal with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles for six new converted Volkswagen Crafters ahead of a complete overhaul of its 200-strong fleet, according to the company. ATS Euromaster has a network of over 270 service centers across the UK.

The first trial fleet will be a mix of front-wheel and rear-wheel drive Crafters equipped with a mobile servicing conversion, including air compressors, tire-fitting machinery and solutions for all necessary tools and equipment. They will be put to work across the nation carrying out servicing work to UK drivers.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles products were chosen as a new fleet partner by the servicing firm for their on-the-road reliability plus the flexibility of the brand’s Van Center network, according to the automaker.

Following the testing period with six vans, ATS Euromaster expects to overhaul the entirety of its 200-strong nationwide fleet with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles models by early 2020.
