"Full-size trucks are the financial engines that power the auto industry, and this year, we're fortunate to have three great new ones to consider," said Chris Paukert, NACTOY's vice president. "From a new mild hybrid system to a carbon fiber bed and a Swiss Army knife-like tailgate, this year's truck crop is packed with customer-friendly innovations."

Top cars include the Genesis G70 sports sedan, Honda Insight gasoline-electric hybrid, and Volvo S60/V60 midsize sedan and wagon. Utility finalists includ the Acura RDX, Hyundai Kona and Kona Electric, and the Jaguar I-Pace battery-electric SUV.

Finalists were pared down from 29 semi-finalists. Votes from 54 automotive journalist jurors were audited by Deloitte LLP. The winners will be announced on Jan. 14.
