WASHINGTON - American Honda Motor Co. is recalling 2,800 model-year 2011 Honda Odyssey vehicles because of a potential problem with power windows.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the front-seat power windows may come off the track, causing the window to become inoperative. As a result, occupants may not be able to roll up the window. Moreover, a window could possibly drop into the door or shatter into the passenger cabin, posing a safety risk.

Honda dealers will make any needed replacements free of charge. The safety recall is expected to begin around April 15.
