Hyundai Motor America is recalling an estimated 477 2020 Kona vehicles because the certification label may include incorrect Gross Axle Weight Rating (GAWR).

This situation could result in the vehicle being overloaded, which increases the likelihood of a collision.

To fix the problem, Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will install new label stickers displaying the correct GAWR over the affected areas of the certification label, at no cost to owners.

The recall begins Mar. 20. Owners can reach Hyundai customer service at (855) 371-9460.

Hyundai’s reference number for this recall is 187.
