Nissan's 2019 Sentra is adding a revamped NissanConnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay on most models, and will retail for $800 more than the 2018 model, Nissan has announced. The compact car is on sale now.

Nissan will offer its Sentra in six trim grades, including S, SV, SR, SL, SR Turbo, and Sentra Nismo. The base Sentra S with a six-speed manual transmission retails for $18,685, which includes the $895 delivery fee. The Sentra is again powered by either a 1.8-liter four-cylinder (four models) that makes 124 horsepower or a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder (SR Turbo and Nismo) that makes 188 hp.

Most models pair the engine with the Xtronic continuously variable transmission. The manual is also available with Nismo. Stepping up to the base Sentra S with the Xtronic adds $490. Xtronic models include standard automatic emergency braking.

Nissan will also begin offering the SV Special Edition package, which adds driver-assisting features such as bling spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
