On Monday, May 20, Mazda Motor Corp. formally launched its new mid-size sedan, the Mazda6. The new sedan will appear in U.S. dealerships in fall 2002 as a 2003-model. The Mazda6 will be offered in three body styles, a traditional 4-door sedan, a 5-door hatchback version and a station wagon. Power for the U.S. version will come from a choice of a 2.3L DOHC I-4 or a 3.0L DOHC V-6.
