The votes are in, and the great American icon, the Ford F-150, has won Automotive Fleet’s Fleet Vehicle of the Year once again! This marks the 11th win for the F-150 since the award's inception in 2003.

The Fleet Car, Truck, and SUV of the Year awards celebrate excellence in the automotive industry from a fleet perspective. They are judged exclusively by professional fleet managers, who oversee thousands of vehicles and millions of miles per year.

Judging is based on how well the vehicle meets the unique demands of fleet service, reliability, safety, ownership costs, and driver satisfaction.

The awards have been bestowed since 2003, with the inaugural Fleet Car of the Year award presented to the Chevrolet Malibu and the Fleet Truck of the Year award presented to the Ford F-150. Fleet SUV of the Year was introduced in 2019 and was won by the Chevrolet Equinox.

Ford F-150 Wins Again

The Ford F-Series has been the best-selling truck in America for 48 consecutive years. Its versatility and capability have made it a staple in fleets as well.

What can we say about the Ford F-150 that we don’t already know? Fleet managers keep voting for the F-150 because of its dependability, ruggedness, fuel efficiency, durability, and performance.

“We're honored that F-150 has earned Automotive Fleet's Fleet Truck of the Year for the 11th consecutive year. This award recognizes the enduring toughness, quality, and capability built into every F-150 by our dedicated American workforce,” said Kevin Lieberum, F-150 and Lightning brand manager, Ford Pro.

“It’s a tribute to the customers who trust Ford to deliver the rugged dependability and real-world strength that come with the Built Ford Tough promise, and to everyone who helps make F-150 America’s best-selling truck for 48 consecutive years.”

Ford F-150 Updates for 2025 Model Year

For 2025, the Ford F-150 showed gains in driver-assist tech: Evasive Steering Assist, Intersection Assist, AEB Oncoming, Blind Spot Assist, and Road Edge Detection became standard across all trims, while higher grades add an expanded BlueCruise hands-free driving trial, standard Connected Navigation, and new features such as Predictive Speed Assist and Driver State Detection.

Ford also rolls out its new Security Package, standard on every truck, to replace the previous Stolen Vehicle Services.

XL buyers can now get the integrated Tailgate Step with Work Surface, the Bed Utility Package switches to simpler tie-down plates, and two new colors join the range. Inside, rear under-seat storage remains, and SecuriCode becomes a dealer-installed option.

For the 2026 model year, F-150 will get new appearance packages and color options.
