BMW's 2025 lineup delivers upgraded technology, design, and comfort across its EV and ICE models, enhancing the driving experience with new features and refined styling.

BMW's 2025 lineup showcases various updates and refined features across its electric vehicle (EV) and Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) models, from enhanced interiors and exterior designs to cutting-edge tech integrations and expanded standard equipment.

Enhanced Tech and Design Define BMW's 2025 i Series Updates

BMW i4

The BMW i4 range received updated interior and exterior design details for 2025.

The exterior received new alloy wheel designs and lighting outside, while the interior features new steering wheels, upholstery choices, and interior trim elements. Heated front seats are now standard on the i4 eDrive40 and i4 xDrive40.

The BMW Curved Display features the latest version of BMW iDrive powered by BMW Operating System 8.5 with QuickSelect. Personal eSIM 5G is now standard on all i4 models, while wireless device charging is now standard on i4 eDrive40 and i4 xDrive40.

The Convenience Package is discontinued on the i4 eDrive40 and i4 xDrive40, as lumbar support, heated front seats, and wireless device charging are now standard features. Iconic Sounds Electric is offered as part of the Premium Package.

A Driving Assistance Package is available on the i4 M50 xDrive.

BMW i5

The 389 hp all-wheel-drive BMW i5 xDrive40 was added to the i5 line in the Spring of 2024.

Regarding updates, the BMW i5 sees the addition of optional packages and equipment as the peak of its changes, including:  

  • Heated front seats are now standard on the i5 eDrive40.

  • Convenience Package discontinued on i5 eDrive40.

  • A heated steering wheel is now a standalone option on all i5 models.

Full LED lights with cornering lights are now available as a standalone option on the i5 eDrive40 and i5 xDrive40, and they are also part of the Premium and Executive packages.

The i7 line now includes three models: i7 eDrive50, i7 xDrive60, and i7 M70 xDrive.

BMW i7

The first-ever fully electric i7 launched in the fourth quarter of 2022. The i7 line now includes three models: i7 eDrive50, i7 xDrive60, and i7 M70 xDrive.

The i7's standard equipment changes include a Panoramic Sky Lounge LED Roof now standard on the i7 eDrive50 and front massaging seats and a Luxury Rear Seating Package now standard on the i7 xDrive60.

BMW iX

Expect to see a new model year iX all-electric SAV from BMW. The xDrive50 has an EPA estimated range of up to 324 miles, and the M60 has an EPA estimated range of up to 280 miles.

The interior design package, which adds M Dark Silver interior trim and an M steering wheel, is standard on the iX M60 and optional on the iX xDrive50.

The optional Driving Assistance Professional Package now includes Active Lane Change with eye activation.

Tech and Comfort Lead the Way in BMW's 2025 3 Series Sedan

The 3 Series received freshened interior and exterior design details as well as revised suspension tuning and 48V mild hybrid technology for the 4-cylinder engine in 2025.

Model-specific changes include:

  • Driver and passenger lumbar support and wireless device charging are now standard in 330i models.

  • Heated front seats and personal eSIM 5G are standard on all 3 Series models.

  • Active Driving Assistant is now standard on M340i models.

Contents of Convenience Package on 330i models revised to include:

  • Remote Engine Start

  • Heated Steering Wheel

  • Comfort Access keyless entry

  • Park Distance Control

  • Active Driving Assistant

  • Active Blind Spot Detection

  • Frontal Collision Warning with City Collision Mitigation

  • Lane Departure Warning

  • Rear Crossing Traffic Warning and Collision Prevention

  • Speed Limit Information.

The premium package on 330i models now contains all the contents of the convenience package, including a power trunk lid and a BMW Curved Display with HUD.

The premium package on the M340i models now contains a power trunk lid, a Harman Kardon surround sound system, and a BMW Curved Display with HUD.

The Driving Assistance Package adds Active Cruise Control on all 3 Series models, with the Active Driving Assistant optionally available on 330i models.

2025 BMW 5 Series Sedan Expands Powertrain Choices

The all-new 5 Series line was introduced for model year 2024. In 2025, the 530i and 530i xDrive, powered by BMW's 2.0L TwinPower Turbo 255 hp 4-cylinder, have since been joined by the 6-cylinder 540i xDrive and plug-in hybrid 550e xDrive.

Inside the cabin, heated front seats are now standard on 530i models and 540i xDrive. The Convenience Package was discontinued on 530i models and 540i xDrive.

A heated steering wheel is now a standalone option on all 5 Series models.

The all-new BMW 7 Series launched in November 2022 for model year 2023. In 2025, the line comprises six-cylinder 740i models, the plug-in hybrid 750e xDrive, and the V8-powered 760i xDrive.

BMW X1

The 2023 X1 xDrive28i was introduced in the spring of 2022, while the 312 hp 2024 X1 M35i was announced in June 2023.

BMW X2

The all-new BMW X2 Sports Activity Coupe was introduced in the fourth quarter of 2023. According to a company statement, the 2025 model is longer, wider, and taller than the first-generation X2. The 2025 BMW x2 is available as the 241 hp xDrive28i and the 312 hp M35i xDrive.

In the cabin, heated front seats and Personal eSIM 5G are now standard on all X2 models. Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Active Driving Assistant were added to the Premium Package on the X2 xDrive28i.

A heated steering wheel is now a standalone option on all X2 models.

BMW X3

The all-new BMW X3 was introduced in June 2024 with a new design language, an updated interior with a BMW Curved Display, and new powertrains.

The 255 hp 4-cylinder X3 30 xDrive and the 393 hp 6-cylinder X3 M50 xDrive feature 48V mild hybrid technology.

The X5 received comprehensive updates for model year 2024, including a new illuminated kidney grille, headlamp and taillamp signatures, aerodynamic improvements, and a redesigned interior anchored by the BMW Curved Display.

Special limited-production Silver Anniversary Edition X5 xDrive40i celebrates 25 years of the X5 with special paint, trim, and the xOffroad Package.

The X6 received the same updates as the X5 for 2024. For the new model year, full LED Lights with Cornering Lights are now standard on the X6 xDrive40i.

  • Optional Driving Assistance Professional Package now includes Active Lane Change with eye activation.

  • The Climate Comfort Package on X6 xDrive40i now includes multi-contour seats.
