Expressway Auto Auction of Dansville, New York, a fourth-generation five-lane operation, recently retained TPC Management Company to provide strategic consulting services as the company builds its market reach and expands its relationships among commercial and institutional clients.

In addition to the main auction building, Expressway’s 24-acre auction complex includes a condition report center, reconditioning and mechanical shops, transportation department, and a restaurant that offers home-cooked fare. State-of-the-art computer and security systems, a full suite of digital capabilities, a strategic location, and dedicated staff all contribute to Expressway’s standing as one of the region’s leading auction facilities. Expressway holds a weekly sale on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., where dealers bid on vehicles running on five auction lanes.

Expressway Auto Auction was opened in 1967 by Richard C. Tracy in Dansville on the site of a livestock market owned by Richard Tracy's father, M. Harold Tracy.  Expressway continues as a family-owned business, led by Richard Tracy’s sons, Scott Tracy and Jeff Tracy, and his grandchildren: general manager Kyle Tracy and administrative manager Lyndsey Tracy.

TPC's "relationships within the remarketing community and their overall experience in the industry will be of tremendous benefit to us as we build our presence in the market,” said Kyle Tracy, also the co-owner of Expressway, in a May 14 news release.

Pierre Pons, CEO of TPC Management Company, added, “I was privileged to know of Richard Tracy in the early days of my own career in the auto auction industry, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with his family as they build on that legacy.” TPC eventually hopes to include Kyle Tracy and Lyndsey Tracy in Auction Academy, a professional development program for auction professionals that also boosts new generations of industry leadership, he added.

“Expressway’s client relationships span generations and extend far beyond the realm of business," said Jiles Wanna, vice president of client services at TPC Management. "We are looking forward to building their network and helping them to reach additional new and used car dealers as well as regional and national commercial accounts."

Founded in 1996, TPC Management Company, based in Nashville, Tennessee, provides consulting and management recruiting services to a wide variety of companies within the automotive industry.
