GM electric vehicle users will be able to access more vehicle-to-home (V2H) energy supply options when their EVs can plug into a home's electrical system, GM Energy announced recently as it disclosed more product details and specs for its upcoming Ultium Home offerings.
Those offerings will be the first solutions available to residential customers through GM Energy, and are designed to enable the use of backup power for home needs during times when the grid lacks power supply.
“Our initial Ultium Home offerings represent an opportunity for customers to take greater control over their personal energy independence and resiliency,” said vice president of GM Energy Wade Sheffer in a June 28 news release.
The Ultium Home products will be offered through bundled options, providing customers with the ability to select solutions that align with their energy needs and budget.
