Wheels, Inc. announced Canfield Equipment as the recipient of its 2019 Upfit Supplier of the Year Award for performance excellence, exemplary service, and innovation.
Wheels presented the award to Canfield’s executive team event during the NTEA Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Ind., according to the fleet management company. The Supplier of the Year distinction rewards the upfitter who achieved the best annual performance overall.
As part of their supply chain management protocol, Wheels monitors suppliers’ monthly performance in key metrics, including on-time completion, defects per truck, quote turn times, and cycle time.
“This award represents the upfitter who works hard to satisfy all of our clients’ and our needs, who delivers the highest quality vehicles in a timely manner, and who demonstrates the highest levels of service and responsiveness to maximize our customer value,” said Barbara Banas, senior director of procurement at Wheels.
Canfield Equipment Service Inc. is a turn-key upfitter for fleet, commercial and law enforcement vehicles, and customized commercial van conversions.
“Canfield is the perfect partner for our truck and upfitting needs. I’m very happy with the team we have today—a night and day experience versus where we were two years ago,” said Anthony Cline, fleet and travel manager of Arcadis Inc.
