What's Next at the 2020 Virtual NAFA I&E
While the second day of the 2020 NAFA Virtual Institute & Expo is currently underway, and we are almost halfway through the virtual conference, there is still much more in store at this year’s digital event.

While the second day of the 2020 NAFA Virtual Institute & Expo is currently underway, and we are almost halfway through the virtual conference, there is still much more in store at this year’s digital event.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 16, will kick off with a presentation on titled Fleet Response to COVID-19 Pandemic, where fleet managers from the corporate, government, utility, university, and law enforcement sectors will discuss and debate what worked well and what failed them in their fleet response to the pandemic. After this is a sponsored session covering what’s new at FCA Fleet.
Concurrent sessions following include will focus on lifecycle cost analysis for managing fleet, a law enforcement OEM showcase from General Motors, and a look at the evolving fleet regulatory environment.
Sessions later on Wednesday look at enhancing security and transparency in a connected fleet strategy, a presentation on future mobility trends, a discussion on law enforcement fleet rightsizing, and a case study on improving maintenance operations.
Later in the day, networking will be a major highlight with the region-based Zoom meetings, held at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. EST.
The final day, Thursday, Sept. 17, will include a State of the Fleet Industry panel discussion that will provide a high level overview of current conditions within the fleet industry. NAFA President Patti Earley, CAFM, will join Moderator Mike Antich, editor, Automotive Fleet; Katie Keeton, President at Automotive Fleet & Leasing Association (AFLA); and Steve Carey, President at NTEA – The Association for the Work Truck Industry, for the State of the Fleet Industry I&E session on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, 11:00 a.m. EST.
Concurrent sessions on the final day include success stories on fleet right-sizing, three key factors in law enforcement shop operations, and a session on work-life balance tips.
Rounding out Thursday will be closing comments by NAFA President Patti Earley, and preview of the 2020 NAFA I&E conference.
