The vehicle will contain Volvo’s latest version of Hugin Core, the company’s core system streamlined into a single, software-defined platform.

Powering the EX60:

  • NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin system-on-a-chip running DriveOS

  • Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon Cockpit Platform

  • Snapdragon Auto Connectivity Platform

EX60 Range

Volvo also revealed that the model will offer up to 400 miles of range on a single charge in all-wheel drive. Using a 400kW fast charger, 173 miles of range can be added in about 10 minutes.

Gemini Voice AI Comes to the Volvo EX60

The EX60 will be the first Volvo model to feature Gemini, an AI system that drivers can have conversations with. The feature is integrated directly into the vehicle and was developed in partnership with Google.

Volvo’s emphasis on safety defines the Gemini feature, as drivers will spend less time using the display and more time using their voices to interact with Gemini. Rather than predetermined commands, Gemini can hold a conversation with the driver, reducing the need for display controls.

Volvo and Google have worked on Gemini for nearly a decade, allowing drivers to do everything from planning a road trip to checking the size of their trunks.

Gemini will be continuously updated via software updates.
