PRINCETON, NJ – The Rocky Mountain Fleet Management Association (RMFMA) announced it has joined a coalition of organizations exclusively endorsing and offering to its members the Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) and Certified Automotive Fleet Supervisor (CAFS) programs.

The CAFM and CAFS programs are the world's preeminent certification programs for individuals proving their expertise in the core disciplines of automotive fleet management. The CAFM program tests for expertise in asset management, business management, financial management, fuel management,  information management, maintenance management, professional development, and risk management.  The CAFS program tests for expertise in information management, fuel management, maintenance management, and professional development.

"The CAFM and CAFS programs set the standard of excellence in fleet management," said RMFMA President Keith Swearingen, fleet services supervisor for the City of Casa Grande, Ariz.  "RMFMA is proud to endorse these programs and offer them to our members."

In addition to RMFMA, the CAFM and CAFS programs are exclusively endorsed by NAFA Fleet Management Association (NAFA) and the Conference of State Fleet Administrators (NCSFA).

"The CAFM and CAFS programs are the only individual fleet certification programs to be university accredited," noted NAFA President Gayle Pratt, global fleet manager at Ecolab.  "There is tremendous appeal for every CAFM and CAFS graduate - as well as certification candidates - knowing they can earn up to 12 college credits from Ferris State University in Michigan for earning their certification."

The CAFM program is also the oldest and largest fleet certification program in the world.  There are more than 225 CAFM graduates and nearly 500 individuals enrolled in the program.  The CAFS program, which was announced in December 2008 and officially launches in April 2009, already has dozens of enrollments.   The CAFM and CAFS programs are administered by NAFA's professional, full-time staff and directed by a diverse, ten-member Certification Board, with support from university and other fleet organization partners.
