Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc., a provider of natural gas storage systems, integration and vehicle system technologies, announced that it has received a “significant” order for its Q-Lite high capacity, ultra-light weight natural gas storage tanks for light duty trucks for delivery in Canada.
Quantum's light-duty tanks are certified for the Canadian market, which represents a significant addressable market in addition to the United States, according to the company.
"We expect this initial order will lead to expanded tank orders for the Canadian market," said Brian Olson, president and chief executive officer of Quantum. "Fleet managers and small businesses across North America are increasingly recognizing the significant economic benefits of natural gas vehicles and we are excited to be making further inroads into the Canadian marketplace."
Quantum's proprietary Q-Lite fuel tank technology offers one of the lightest natural gas fuel storage solutions in the industry, coupled with superior fuel storage capacity, enhanced safety features, and the capability to be quickly integrated on to vehicles, according to the company.
