Steve Akazawa, the president of Jim Pattison Lease, will be retiring from his postion after 32 years with the fleet management company that's based in British Columbia, Canada.
After more than three decades with Jim Pattison Lease, Akazawa will be retiring at the end of 2017, according to a release from the company. Akazawa progressed through several leadership roles with the company including as president for over 24 years.

During his tenure, Jim Pattison Lease grew from a regional leasing company in Vancouver with less than 4,000 vehicles to one with over 37,000 vehicles across the country. Akazawa recently oversaw the company’s largest integration to date and first expansion into Quebec as president of Location Park Avenue-Jim Pattison Inc., a joint venture between the company and Groupe Park Avenue.
“I’m grateful for the business relationships with all of the employees, customers and suppliers who helped to make my journey so enjoyable and I wish them all continued success,” said Akazawa.
