Recently, PHH Arval kicked off its annual series of Fleet Management Symposiums with an event in Ontario that welcomed clients and supplier partners to the Country Heritage Park in Milton.

“The symposiums provide our clients with the opportunity to continue to seek proactive solutions that best fit their respective fleet management operations,” said Jim Halliday, president PHH Canada and senior vice president and chief business development officer for North America. “To see and hear the amount of client-specific results in the collaborative sessions, and the vast participation of leading industry experts all in one setting, was terrific and I want to thank everyone who had a part in making this event happen.”

The symposium provided a variety of discussions which included an overview by Halliday on how PHH and its clients can continue to prepare for the future of fleet operations and a panel discussion where clients, supplier partners and PHH experts addressed the topics of maintenance and remarketing. The afternoon consisted of a fuel fraud workshop where the Peel Regional Police demonstrated how criminals compromise credit and fuel cards and highlighted examples of the crime on surveillance tape. Additional workshops were held on telematics and trucks and upfitting. The event ended with an outdoor automotive fair with the latest fleet vehicles available to view and drive.

PHH also conducted a separate session with pharmaceutical fleet professionals. The annual Pharmaceutical Symposium provides fleet managers an opportunity to share best practices and discuss issues and trends unique to their industry.

The next symposium is scheduled for September 24, 2013 in Calgary, Alberta.
