Nissan Recalls 3 Vehicles for Transmission, Seat Belt Issues
Nissan is recalling 2020-2023 Titan and Frontier vehicles as well as 2021-2022 Rogue vehicles for separate issues.

More than 50 million vehicles in the United States have unrepaired safety recalls, according to the National Safety Council. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration urges all vehicle owners — including fleet operators — to follow any interim safety guidance provided by the manufacturer and contact your local dealership to fix the recalled part for free.
Nissan Titan & Frontier Recalls
Recently, Nissan North America, Inc. issued two recalls for two separate issues. Specifically, the automaker is recalling an estimated 203,223 model-year 2020-2023 Titan and Frontier vehicles for a transmission issue. The transmission parking pawl may not engage when the vehicle is shifted into park, which can result in a vehicle rollaway.
This is a dangerous situation and increases the likelihood of a collision. Owners are advised to apply the parking brake every time they park their vehicle. A remedy plan is currently under development. Owner notification letters will be mailed Nov. 1.
In a second action, Nissan is recalling approximately 8,391 modelyear 2021-2022 Rogue vehicles because the rear seat belts for the left-hand and right-hand rear seats may not retract properly.
Seats belts that do not retract properly may be difficult to operate, preventing their use, which ups the risk of injuries in the event of a crash. To fix the problem, dealers will inspect and replace the rear seat belts, as needed, at no cost. Owner notification letters will be mailed Oct. 27. Nissan's number for this recall is PC915.
