Manheim Updates Inspection Technology
The goal of the new platform, noted Manheim, is to provide a faster and more consistent inspection. One way that it will attempt to do this is through a methodical inspection guide.

Manheim has announced a new inspection platform, which will be powered by Alliance Inspection Management.
The goal of the new platform, noted Manheim, is to provide a faster and more consistent inspection. One way that it will attempt to do this is through a methodical inspection guide.
Every guided inspection will utilize standard descriptions for vehicle issues in order to reduce subjectivity for damage description and severity.
The new inspection platform will also feature new hardware and software. The new inspection devices will be equipped with 4G connectivity to provide added mobility for inspectors inside and outside the auction gates.
Consignors that move vehicles between Manheim locations will particularly benefit from the new platform due to the automatic recognition of vehicles that have been inspected at a Manheim location before. As part of the new platform, vehicles will automatically be recognized by VIN and if it has been inspected at another Manheim location previously, the second inspector will be able to confirm or update the condition of the vehicle at the new location.
“Repurposing this information, rather than starting over, will improve the consistency and accuracy of Manheim’s condition reports,” Manheim noted.
Manheim clients will also be able to review reconditioning estimates and approve repairs through their Seller Dashboard on any device.
