Infiniti will show a battery-electric concept crossover its calling the QX Inspiration at the North American International Auto Show later this month in Detroit, the company has announced.
The vehicle provides an early look at Infiniti's approach to EVs, which should lean toward higher performance in the same way Infiniti approaches its gasoline crossover lineup.
On the inside, the vehicle will incorporate Japanese concepts such as the hospitality principle of omotenashi — creating a welcoming environment while assisting drivers and connecting occupants to the world around them. The cabin utilizes "hand-crafted using traditional techniques and a choice of materials inspired by a subtle Japanese sensuality," according to Infiniti.
Infiniti will reveal the concept vehicle at 11:40 a.m. East Coast time on Jan. 14.
