Chevrolet Updates 2027 Trax and Trailblazer with More Standard Safety Features
Chevrolet is updating two of its smallest SUVs with added driver-assistance technology, redesigned interiors, and revised trim options. The changes could add more safety equipment as standard for commercial fleets, while a new Trailblazer configuration adds another all-wheel-drive option.

The 2027 Chevrolet Trax remains front-wheel-drive only, while the Trailblazer offers available all-wheel drive, giving fleet buyers different drivetrain options within Chevrolet's small-SUV lineup.
Automotive Fleet
Chevrolet has announced updates to the 2027 Trax and Trailblazer, adding standard safety and driver assistance features, revised technology, and new trim configurations.
Both compact SUVs receive an upgraded electrical and software architecture that supports more than 20 standard safety and driver assistance features. The vehicles will be available to order beginning in February 2027.
Expanded Standard Safety Equipment
The 2027 Trax and Trailblazer add several standard driver assistance technologies, including:
- Reverse Automatic Braking
- Safety Alert Seat
- Side Bicyclist Alert
- Rear Cross Traffic Braking
- Front Park Assist
- Rear Seat Belt Indicator
- Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking
Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Zone Steering Assist are also standard safety and driver-assistance features.
For commercial fleets using compact SUVs as employee-assigned vehicles, the expanded standard equipment could reduce the need to select additional safety packages when configuring vehicles.

The 2027 Chevrolet Trax RS features a driver-focused cabin with a digital instrument display, centrally mounted touchscreen, and physical climate controls, offering drivers access to key vehicle information and functions.

Updated Technology and Interior Features
Both models receive an updated infotainment system with Google built-in and Gemini compatibility.
The new interface includes an 11-inch digital driver information center and an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Chevrolet is also introducing OnStar One, with a 12-month included subscription. The service package includes features such as in-vehicle Wi-Fi hotspot capability and other connected services, subject to service availability and plan requirements.
Both vehicles receive interior design changes, including a new Storm Sky Gray color option.
Changes to the 2027 Trax
The Trax receives a redesigned grille, new wheel designs, LED taillamps, and an updated liftgate.
A power liftgate will be available for the first time.
Chevrolet has also simplified the Trax lineup to three configurations: an entry-level model, RS, and ACTIV.
The RS includes 19-inch wheels, while the ACTIV features a different front-end design.

The 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer Z71 features a redesigned center console with more storage, while orange interior accents distinguish the new trim. The updated cabin also includes a column-mounted shifter, freeing up space between the front seats.

Trailblazer Adds Z71 Configuration
The 2027 Trailblazer lineup will consist of an entry-level model, RS, and the new Z71.
The Z71 comes standard with all-wheel drive, an off-road-tuned suspension, an underbody skid plate, and sport-terrain tires.
This configuration gives fleets a smaller SUV option that can operate on unpaved roads or in changing road conditions.
Inside, the Trailblazer receives a column-mounted shifter and redesigned center console. The updated layout provides additional storage flexibility and accommodates new rear passenger HVAC vents.
An AutoSense power liftgate will also be available.
Ordering and Availability
Chevrolet said the 2027 Trax and Trailblazer will be available to order in February 2027.
Pricing for the updated models was not announced.
