Infiniti will show an electrified concept crossover at the Detroit auto show in January, as it celebrates 30 years of producing vehicles and moves toward producing battery-electric crossovers and sedans.

The concept vehicle will be based on Infiniti's previous Q Inspiration and Protoype 10 Pebble Beach Concept vehicles.

"The concept car we will show in Detroit is the beginning of a new era for INFINITI, and an illustration of where we want to go with the brand. Electrification and other new technologies have given us the opportunity to evolve our design philosophy," said Karim Habib, Infiniti's executive design director.

The North American International Auto Show has been scheduled for Jan. 14-27. Press conferences have been scheduled for Jan. 14.
