Funding and fleet management specialists, Holman, is helping a U.K. specialist security company lower emissions on its 210-vehicle fleet. Called Orbis Protect, the company wants to reduce both the emissions and running costs of its fleet by early 2023. To do this, Holman is providing a mix of low-emission vans, Lightfoot telematics to encourage eco-friendly driving, and electric vehicles.

The first tranche of 33 new Ford Transits is now in use and all are fitted with Lightfoot telematics. The vans are funded on a three-year/90,000-mile finance lease agreement on a solus Ford supply contract. They will be fleet managed throughout their lifecycle by Holman.

Orbis Protect says that since trialing the Lightfoot telematics system, its fleet has seen an 18.2% average fuel saving per vehicle as well as a 100% reduction in dangerous driving incidents.
