ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, together with its parent company Holman Automotive Group, donated $6,000 to the Food Bank of South Jersey in support of their efforts to serve those in need. Holman Automotive Group also successfully collected and donated 3,189 pounds of food as a result of its “Drive For Food” held throughout the month of December at its seven dealerships in southern New Jersey, its corporate headquarters, Steward Financial Services and ARI.
“I am truly grateful for the generosity of our employees and customers,” said Mindy Holman, president and CEO of Holman Automotive Group. “With so many in our community struggling to make ends meet and facing food insecurity, we are glad we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.”
“So many people in our region are facing the stark reality of choosing between real necessities, like rent or electricity and food,” said Carl A. Ortell, president of ARI. “We hope that with this donation we can help people who are facing these kinds of difficult decisions and I appreciate all that our employees have done to help fight hunger in our community.”
ARI employees were given the option to donate the value of a holiday turkey towards the company’s total donation to the Food Bank. More than 230 employees, including nine retirees, chose to do so. During the “Drive for Food”, which was held throughout the month of December, Holman Automotive encouraged its employees, customers and the public to bring non-perishable food items to one of seven different dealerships: Holman Infiniti and Holman Ford Lincoln in Maple Shade; BMW of Mount Laurel, MINI of Mount Laurel, Holman Cadillac and Holman Toyota-Scion in Mount Laurel; and Holman Ford Lincoln in Turnersville. Donations were also accepted at Steward Financial Services, ARI, and Holman Automotive’s headquarters in Maple Shade. Individuals who donated at a dealership received a $5.00 coupon towards a future service visit. In total, Holman collected 3,189 pounds of food for the Food Bank of South Jersey.
