Expanding its North American footprint, General Motors subsidiary BrightDrop will begin offering two electric delivery vans — the Zevo 400 and Zevo 600 — in Mexico later this year.

“Bringing BrightDrop’s products to Mexico is a key move in our mission to decarbonize delivery globally, while helping customers take advantage of the economic benefits of going electric,” said Steve Hornyak, BrightDrop’s chief commercial officer. “By bringing BrightDrop solutions closer to our customers throughout North America, we can help make the EV transition as seamless as possible.”

Powered by GM's Ultium Platform, a flexible battery architecture for EVs across different vehicle types, BrightDrop’s Zevo 400 and Zevo 600 have an estimated range of up to 250 miles on a full charge and peak charge rate of up to 160 miles of EV range per hour via 120kW DC fast charging.

Customers can configure the Zevo 400 or Zevo 600 to their specific needs, according to BrightDrop. Front or all-wheel drive is available along with different battery range options. Cargo capacity measures 11.7 m3 (413 f3) for Zevo 400 and 17.4 m3 (614 f3) for Zevo 600.

Launched in 2021 in the U.S. and expanding to Canada in 2022, BrightDrop EVs are built at GM’s CAMI Assembly plant in Ontario, Canada.
