GM Expands In-Car Fuel Payments
General Motors has rolled out in-vehicle fuel payments to Buick vehicles following the initial offering to Chevrolet models in July, the company has announced.
Drivers of eligible Buick vehicles will now be able to make fuel payments from the dashboard at ExxonMobil stations.

General Motors has rolled out in-vehicle fuel payments to Buick vehicles following the initial offering to Chevrolet models in July, the company has announced.
Through a partnership between Buick and ExxonMobil, owners of eligible vehicles will be able to pay for fuel through the Marketplace app platform that's part of the vehicle's infotainment system. Drivers can sync their ExxonMobil Speedpass+ app account to the vehicle. The service is available at more than 11,000 Exxon or Mobil stations in the U.S.
To use the vehicle app to pay for fuel, a driver presses the ExxonMobil icon in Marketplace. The driver then selects the pump number. The pump is then activated for use. There's no extra cost to use the service.
In late July, Shell began accepting in-vehicle payments from Chevrolet vehicles as part of the Shell Pay & Save app. Chevrolet and Shell had announced the electronic-payments agreement in April. More than 11,000 Shell stations will activate the payments this month.
