Two cities in Germany have the right to ban some diesel cars from regions worst affected by air pollution, reports the BBC.
The Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig, Germany, said Stuttgart and Düsseldorf could ban older, more pollutant diesel cars in a ruling that would allow the cities authority to implement limited bans that would prevent some cars from driving into the city center, according to CNN. This decision could propel efforts to implement similar restrictions across Europe.
