A soon-to-be-released documentary will look at the current status of fuel infrastructure and the possible solutions offered by alternative fuels.
The documentary, Pump, will feature interviews with John Hofmeister, former president of Shell Oil US; Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors; and Peter Goldmark, former president of the Rockefeller Foundation.
"We have the ability to stop using oil right now," states David Blume, author of Alcohol Can Be a Gas, in the recently released trailer for the documentary.
According to directors Joshua and Rebecca Harrell Tickell, the film "tells the story of America's addiction to oil, from its corporate conspiracy beginnings to its current monopoly today, and explains clearly and simply how we can end it, and finally win choice at the pump."
Pump will open in select theaters and cities on September 12 and expand to additional theaters September 19.
