Slate Debuts Colorful, Unique EV Models
The Slate electric SUV and pickup truck model is designed with flexibility in mind, aimed at light-duty fleet applications. This electric vehicle differentiates itself from others in its class with its unique and unconventional features. The model is being positioned to meet the evolving demands of sustainable and inexpensive fleet transportation.

The basic Slate pickup model is priced at $24,950, one of few EV models priced under $25,000.

The pickup now carries a maximum payload rating of 1,550 pounds and a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.

Guest attendees mingled in a museum-style format that allowed them to sit in the EV models and browse accessory galleries on the warehouse floor.

The Slate vehicles require 50% fewer parts than other EVs, enabling buyers to save money on maintenance costs and unnecessary add-ons.

This SUV version of the Slate vehicle has been converted into a Jeep-like experience with rear seats and open-air exposure.

Slate buyers can choose from more than 100 creative and colorful wrap designs to customize the look of their vehicles.

On the creative side, the Slate Marketplace will offer more than 200 accessories and parts, with over 80% priced under $500 including roof racks, stereos, seat covers and lighting features.

Slate was designed with fleet needs in mind. Its composite exterior body panels are scratch- and dent-resistant, making them easy to replace after minor damage while eliminating the need for paint repairs because the body is unpainted.

A wall of color exhibit underscores the many interior and exterior color combinations that Slate buyers can choose from to truly personalize their vehicles, or for fleet owners, brand them with distinction.

CEO Peter Faricy announced during the event introduction that Slate had reached 180,000 reservations as of the previous week.

The dashboard has tactile controls and no touchscreens. It is built for the millions of hardworking people looking for a vehicle that will adapt to their changing needs.

Cargo space includes a 35.1-cubic-foot pickup bed and a 7-cubic-foot front trunk.

The Slate pickup truck has an increased tow rating up to 2000 pounds. The payload capacity has risen to 1550 pounds.

The pickup has a curb weight of 4,048 pounds and a gross vehicle weight rating of 5,689 pounds.
