The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado midsize pickup will go on sale next year with several updates, including a freshened exterior and greater differentiation between trim grades, General Motors has announced.

The 2021 Colorado WT, LT, and Z71 models will recieve updated center bars, lower fascias, and front skid plates. WT and LT models will also receive new gold bowtie logos, while the Z71 receives a black logo. The WT model accounts for 63% of Colorado sales to fleet buyers, according to GM.

"A number of our customers in construction, utilities services, pest control, and auto parts retail industries gravitate toward the Chevrolet Colorado," said Viktoria Debreczeni, GM Fleet's commercial product manager of midsize pickup trucks. "These customers want great maneuverability and easy access to tools and cargo in the truck bed; without having to scale up to a full-size truck."

The Colorado, which was reintroduced as a 2015 model after a two-year gap, has provided able competition to the segment-leading Toyota Tacoma and marked the beginning of a new wave of midsize pickups. In the years since its introduction, Ford reintroduced its Ranger and other manufacturers have updated their models.

Pricing will be announced closer to production. The Colorado is built at GM's Wentzville Assembly Center in Missouri.
