Audi's 2019 Q8 will arrive in the fourth quarter as a two-row luxury crossover that's based on the Q7 but with a wider, lower, and shorter stance with room for five passengers.

Audi unveiled the production model at the Audi Brand Summit in Shenzhen, China, on June 5. Audi will equip the Q8 with advanced connectivity, infotainment, and driver assistance systems as it will be offered as the brand's flagship utility vehicle, the company has announced.

The Q8 arrives with a sporty look and standard Quattro all-wheel drive with a mechanical center differential that transfers power to the front and rear axle at a ratio of 40:60. When needed, the vehicle can shift the majority of power to the axle that needs it. The Q8 will also include adaptive damping suspension and available air suspension that enable various driving modes. Drivers can select between the various modes, and the vehicle will be a "capable choice for offroad terrain," according to Audi.

Audi hasn't provided details about the powertrains it will offer with the vehicle.

A new MMI infotainment system will feature haptic and acoustic feedback enabling a flat menu structure to provide fast access to vehicle functions. Drivers will be able to use voice commands such as "I'm hungry," and the vehicle will suggest nearby restaurants. The Q8 will offer wireless charging and a Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system.

Audi hasn't announced whether it will offer a fleet incentive for the vehicle.
