General Motors is recalling an estimated 71 2018 Chevrolet Sonic subcompact cars because a joint in the driver’s seat-back frame may be improperly welded and could compromise the strength of the frame. If this is the case, the seat-back could fail during a rear-impact crash, increasing the risk of injury.
