AAA Report Highlights Gas Price Hikes in Illinois

AURORA, Ill. --- AAA Chicago's most recent Fuel Gauge Report estimates that in Illinois regular unleaded gasoline has increased 18 cents over the past month. The Auto Club forecasts an average cost of $2.39 per gallon for the month of January --- up 54 cents per gallon from last year.

Retail Gasoline Prices Dip

WASHINGTON, D.C. --- The U.S. average retail price for regular gasoline edged down 0.7 cent to 232.0 cents per gallon as of Jan. 16 -- 50.1 cents higher than last year, according to the Energy Department.
