Colin Sutherland

CEO

Colin Sutherland is the CEO of Bobit Business Media.

Working agency-side, Sutherland consulted with world-leading brands including Freightliner Canada’s aftermarket division developing programs to support sales of private label and hundreds of suppliers.

In 1996, Sutherland accepted a position within Freightliner Canada to lead sales and marketing of parts and dealer marketing programs. It was during his time with Freightliner that he became excited with emerging technologies, including telematics, engine diagnostics, and software systems that small business trucking companies rely on. After five years of growth and shepherding his business division through challenging headwinds in the trucking industry in 2000, Sutherland decided to commit himself to the opportunity to help businesses learn more about the positive impact that vehicle-generated data can have in strategic planning. Like some great entrepreneurial success stories, it was kismet that he met the CEO of Geotab during this time and joined the start-up working as a small business of four employees.

Sutherland’s history with Bobit goes back over 20 years as he co-founded and led the sales and marketing direction of Geotab as he helped to grow Geotab into a global organization.

August 1, 2024, Colin Sutherland purchased Super Creative Media, a production studio based in Van Nuys, CA.

September 2024 Colin Sutherland purchased Bobit Business Media.
