Welcome to the inaugural International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) newsletter. In this newsletter, we will be sharing with you a breadth of fresh content regarding the Alliance, which will include Committee reports, member profiles, updates on the status of the Alliance, and much more.
Designed for professionals in the remarketing industry, this newsletter will provide you with content that will feed your curiosity on the Alliance.
But the IARA is more than just an Alliance where ideas are discussed; we are also a tight-knit community that looks after others in the industry, both inside and outside the Alliance. In May, three people were killed and nine were injured as the result of an automotive accident during a sale at Lynnway Auto Auction in Billerica, Mass. The IARA, deeply affected by this tragedy, donated $5,000 to the fund set up by the Massachusetts Independent Auto Dealers Association (MIADA) for the victims of this tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families impacted by this tragedy, and we are wishing a speedy recovery for those who were injured.
In other news, our Alliance has been making big moves over the last few years. In 2016, we celebrated our 15th Anniversary in Toronto during our annual Summer Roundtable. We are fast approaching the 200 mark for IARA members who are CAR certified. And just recently, we reached a new three-year agreement with Bobit Business Media in partnering for the Conference of Automotive Remarketing (CAR).
With all that being said, we want to share with exactly how enriching and exciting the IARA is with the content of our newsletter.
