WASHINGTON - Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center Inc. is recalling 1,783 MY 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicles because some of the rear brake calipers may not have been properly machined, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. As a result, brake fluid may leak and eventually affect braking power.
To remedy the problem, dealers will inspect the rear calipers and replace them if necessary, free of charge.
The Santa Fe vehicles covered by the recall were manufactured from Sept. 28, 2010 through Nov. 25, 2010.
