Comdata Corporation has introduced a new online permit order system called PermitLink for fleet permit customers. The 24/7 ordering service is Web-based to reduce application delays caused by incorrect or incomplete information. “Permits are the Achilles heel of the industry,” said Bob Tereneus, vice president of sales in Comdata’s Regulatory Compliance Services. “They’re a small part of the business, but if handled improperly, they can literally stop a fleet in its tracks.” Eric Covington, vice president of Comdata Regulatory Compliance Services, said the new system is a smoother and more convenient process for everyone. “PermitLink is packed with features that will streamline the process, such as automatically saving key information and providing instant notification of your assigned order number,” said Covington. “I think this new system will be very beneficial to everyone involved.” The new service has several other important features:

  • Permits can be ordered for multiple accounts with one log-in.
  • Users have access to state holiday closings information for better planning.
  • Notification of estimated permit fees is generated for credit card customers.
  • Users have an option to request order confirmation by email.
  • Auto population of stored unit information.
  • For trip and fuel, oversize/overweight and mobile home permit orders.
  • Customers can also track their order status with a function called Permit Order Inquiry.

Payment options for permit orders via PermitLink include all major credit cards, any Comdata MasterCard, and through the utilization of a valid Comdata permit account.
