The parade of new vehicles each model year brings plenty of options for astute fleet managers, and 2019 was no exception. Automotive Fleet's test drives of five of these models made the list of the top blog posts of the year, as did posts arguing for short-cycling, rethinking the total cost of ownership equation, and improving maintenance management.

The most-read post was our review of Volvo's 2020 S60 luxury sedan followed by Sherb Brown's "The $500 Car," which argued the case for a 30-month replacement cycle.

Mike Antich's "TCO Is Not a Static Number," which was also a top-five post, proposed a new metric called "lowest cost of ownership" to replace traditional TCO calculations for greater precision about the costs of operating a fleet vehicle.

Here's the list of the top 10 blog posts of the year:

  1. 2020 Volvo S60
  2. The $500 Car
  3. 2020 GMC Sierra HD
  4. 2019 Subaru Forester: Fifth vs. Fourth Generation
  5. TCO Is Not a Static Number
  6. Excessive Idling Can Create Pitfalls Voiding Warranty
  7. 2019 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
  8. 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan
