The leading brand for the true fleet market in Germany for the month of August was Volkswagen, which also posted the top two models for the month: the Volkswagen Up and Passat.

The true fleet market in Germany achieved its strongest monthly growth rate of 2018, posting an 18.2% growth for the month of August, according to Dataforce.

The fleet market in Germany also saw a 3% growth, year to date, according to a report from Dataforce. The total market had more than 300,000 new passenger cars registrations, the highest the country has seen for the month of August.

The leading brand for the true fleet market in Germany for the month of August was Volkswagen, which also posted the top two models for the month: the Volkswagen Up and Passat. This was followed by Audi in second place, which saw the Audi A4 and S4 as a top fleet model in August, according to Dataforce. This was followed by Mercedes-Benz and BMW in third and fourth place, respectively. Renault jumped to fifth place following a 178.9% growth on the month, passing automakers Ford and Škoda.

Meanwhile, self-registrations on manufacturers increased by 13.9%, rent-a-car numbers grew by 27.7%, and new car registrations on dealerships jumped by 80.8%, compared to the same time last year.
