Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling an estimated four 2018 GLE350, GLE350 4Matic, and GLE43 AMG vehicles for an issue associated with the panoramic sunroof.

Specifically, certain components of the sunroof may have been installed with an improperly made bonding primer that may not have long-term adhesion capabilities. In the event the front cover or rear fixed glass are not effectively adhered, they could detach and fall into the roadway — creating a hazard and increasing the chance of crash.

To fix the problem, MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the panoramic sunroof, if necessary, at no cost to customers. Owners can reach MBUSA customer service at (800) 367-6372.

This recall begins Sept. 30.
