Wheels, Inc. will begin offering commercial fleet clients access to Uber for Business to allow drivers to utilize the ride-hailing service and centralizing billing of the trips.
The Des Plaines, Ill.-based fleet management company will maintain and finance the account for business travel needs, according to Wheels, Inc.
"We have been in the mobility business for 80 years," said Dan Frank, chief executive and president.
Drivers who use the account will switch to the Wheels account after they launch the Uber app to request a ride. The account will capture trip details and related expenses so they don't need to file a travel expense report.
Wheels then provides the data through its FleetView online fleet management system. Users wil hae the ability to review the data, drill into additional detail, and export reports down to the trip level. It can be combined with other fleet data.
"Uber for Business is focused on giving organizations the tools they need to manage ground transportation in a scalable, efficient, and cost-effective way," said Mary Fairchild, head of West U.S. for Uber for Business.
