Mercedes-Benz USA is recalling 8,134 GLC-Class SUVs in the 2016 and 2017 model years because of potentially misadjusted headlights, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

As a result of the problem, the low-beam headlights might not illuminate the roadway adequately, NHTSA said. The recall, expected to begin this month, covers GLC300, GLC300 4MATIC and GLC43 4MATIC vehicles.

Dealers will inspect the headlamp adjustment and make any necessary corrections. There will be no charge for this service.

Vehicle owners can reach MBUSA at (877) 496-3691.
